Shamanic Weather August 26-28, 2022 – Grounding Darkness
Our annual Virgo New Moon takes us (kicking and screaming, sometimes) to that sacred moment of grounding darkness. The unexpected changes, rash actions, and inner chaos of the pervasive Uranian influence have kept us off center for so long.
Let the “Earth Mother” Virgo help you remember how to come back to your center, your roots, your Soul Home.
YOU MAKE GROUNDING DARKNESS SOUND GOOD
“Earthly Love Venus” is struggling at this time. So, even as you breathe your roots into the grounding darkness, your heart challenges can make it difficult to keep those roots settled and firm.
YES, STAYING CENTERED SEEMS HARD
She is in “Hear Me Roar” Leo and squaring (challenging) “Great Awakener” Uranus, who’s in “Creature Comforts” Taurus (a sign Venus rules!). And, she opposes (is in a tug-of-war with) “Stern TaskMaster” Saturn in “Quantum Connections” Aquarius. Any heart attachments could be tested, broken, new ones made, new values realized, and in general, what we don’t want to change may just get changed anyway.
That’s some tough love medicine.
THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE
“Messenger” Mercury just shifted into “Let’s Get Together” Libra (Venus rules this sign, too!) so that focus on social connection and sharing from the heart adds to the load on Venus/our self values.
SHAMANIC NEW MOON IDEA
New Moons are about New Beginnings. As part of your New Moon Ceremony, bless some pure water with your intentions, perhaps some salt, and even flower petals or essences.
Select a stone or other item that is waterproof and can be a symbol of your heart. I will use a bloodstone or malachite!
Talk to this stone, telling it all your heart worries. You can write, sing, play your bowls, drum. Use your intuition for expression.
Then, bathe the stone in the blessed water. Leave it in the water and outdoors or on your windowsill for a night of the New Moon 8/26-28/2022. Yes, you can do this at any time, and these are especially good days.
Retrieve your now cleansed Heart Stone and place it on your altar, mesa, or wherever you can see it for the next month. Keep sending love and grounding to your own heart symbol.
The next morning, pour the water into the Earth, with gratitude, grounding darkness into new life!
