Time To Come Home
Cancer Moon Calls June 17 2015 Shamanic Weather
The Cancer Moon calls us back to ourselves, come home, kick your shoes off, get cozy. After all the tumult and intensity of the Gemini New Moon, the sound of silence is a welcome hug. We do try to settle down, but the Deep Waters Detective (Saturn retrograde in Scorpio) and the Dreamy King of the Seas (Neptune retrograde in Pisces) exert their influence on the flow of our thoughts and dreams. Some of us have been poking around in our inner world mercilessly, bringing the hungry ghosts of the past out of the dark and into the light. Yeah, facing our fears is the way to let them go and come home to ourselves. Thank Saturn and Neptune for dragging you into the process. Work through this as gently as possible, then burn the past up in a Fire Ceremony!
Be Your Best Self Always That seems simple enough. What’s true is that sometimes our best doesn’t feel “good” enough. This is a feeling problem we can resolve by identifying the judgement behind it.
“The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.” Pastor Steven Furtick
Get clear on what wacky, judgemental thought-mess is tying up your head. Work to release it and the your heart can be set free to love you, and others, again.
Love Matters Feeling with the head, acting from the heart, all become one when get back to the lowest, and highest, common denominator: Love. The White Dove of Peace helps us bring ourselves home. From Ina Wolcott at ShamanicJourney.com:
“If dove flies into your life, you are being asked to go within and release your emotional disharmony, be it of the past or the present. Dove helps us to rid trauma stored within our cellular memory. Humming can help you with this release.
“Doves carry the energy of promise. When inner agitation is banished from our thoughts, words and feelings, the goodness awaits us. So we are able to receive the gifts doves present us, healing on all levels – emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually – is of utmost importance.”
Seek Beauty The multi-sensory medicine of our Pachamama is all around us, everyday; beauty in the delicate intricacies of a spider web, the majestic roar of thundering waterfalls, the sweet smell of dew-dampened chaparral in the morning. When the Cancer Moon calls us home, we may just come to realize home is everywhere when we take the time to perceive the beauty that exists without trying, just being.
Today is a great day to curl up with a book, stretch out in the sun, take a long walk under trees, or gift yourself with some form of pampering that feels especially nurturing. We get to take a rest from all the Yang change energy, go Yin for a bit, get out in nature, if we can, and seek simplicity. Have a good think with yourself and finish it off with a big hug. Then pour all that thought energy right into the ground. Let the Pachamama, our Mother Earth, receive it for you. She knows what to do with it! Rest up! We have a Leo Moon Weekend with all the Summer Solstice happenings ahead (See mine below!) and you know what that means…Leo likes to Party! Make this a day to Roar about! Namaste ~ Mara
