span style=”font-weight: 400;”>Winter Solstice 2021 occurs at 2:02 am December 21, 2020, just eight hours before the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we experience the longest night of the year. In ceremonies around the world we release this year’s burdens and peel away the dead skins. We die to the past, ready to ignite the fresh flame of the New Year to come.

I WANT THIS YEAR TO BE OVER

I know, it’s been so long and hard. None of us have ever had a year like this. The tradition of coming together for the darkest nights of the year has been foiled by social distancing and smashed travel plans. Winter Solstice 2021 will be fundamentally different from any other.

And yet, we need each other. We need community.

This Is What I Perceive Sagittarius Sun aligns perfectly with This Is What I Want To Know Gemini Moon and closes the Eclipse Portal opened with the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on November 30. 

An Eclipse Portal opens a wormhole of transformation. During this particular transition we take the info we thought was “true” and requalify it.

Ah, we’ve been ready for these Fiery Changes. Or, so we thought! Now that they are underway, the sweat pours down to sting our eyes.

The deficit of Air Element leaves us with deficient reasoning to help herd the raw emotions and numbing avoidance strategies. What little Air (rationality) we have gets sucked in by all that Fire (rapid change)!

COOL ME DOWN, PLEASE!

Well, the sacred rebalancing action of major archetypes could do just that. Love Goddess Venus, currently languishing in Deep  Waters Scorpio, just allied a major grounding rod – Dark Lord of Transformation Pluto. That means we more clearly identify and attract what would satisfy us.

On Friday Watch Me I’m On Fire Leo Moon wants to revel in his royal-ness. Then on Saturday, Love Goddess Venus in Let’s Take A Jacuzzi Scorpio gets mesmerized by Watery Dreams Neptune in his home seas of No Ocean Too Vast Pisces. That can feel really good!

I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT

Things are really heating up until Saturday night when Venus talks smack to Warrior God Mars in his home sign of Watch Me Make A Fire Aries. From there the elemental drives become more muddied as everyone pulls back and considers just what the heck is going on.

The Shifting Shadows Full Moon Eclipse opens a tunnel of transformation born of your own private journey especially through this tumultuous year 2020. 

IS THAT GOOD?

It is! Eclipses always occur in pairs or, rarely, in a group of three. The time and space we travel between them compels authentic revelation and examination of our shifting shadows. 

For example, the “Inner You” Moon in “I Want To Explore Everything” Gemini offers a brilliant reflection of “Outer You” Sun in “I Want To Know Everything” Sagittarius. BUT, the mysterious shadow of the Earth partially blocks the light (penumbral eclipse). 

This means the truth is there, but not necessarily understandable.
