Cosmic Crankiness Nodal Shift
Shamanic Weather July 14 – 17, 2023 – Sometimes your mood has been hijacked by Cosmic Crankiness, a seemingly endless reserve of irritation that diversely and consistently harrasses you through the day.
It’s not really you, but an amplifying energy applied to all the tiny annoyances of life. And, if you are a highly sensitive person, an empath, or one of us deeply connected to non-traditional healing traditions, it seems to be even worse.
WHYYYYY?
One of my Temple Priestess sisters (Thank you, Nykole) sent me a TickTock that spoke to the Moon squaring Chiron on the day of the Cancer New Moon, July 17, 2023. The Wounded Healer Chiron is also getting ready to retrograde July 23, 2023, so he packs an extra punch of emo rawness into an already loaded “I Feel Everything Cancer New Moon.
And – so much more is happening!
WHAAAAT?
Every 18 months we, as a collective, experience a Nodal Shift. That means the two opposing points in the Moon’s orbit around us that cross the ecliptic move into the next “Axis.”
Since January 2022, our Destiny Path North Node has been traveling through “Let’s Get Good And Comfortable” Taurus. It’s what we’ve been craving as we begin recovery from the Covid years.
At the other end of that axis, the Karmic South Node, signifies the unfinished stuff we need to work through and past to assert our chosen “destiny.” We’ve been swimming blind in the swill of shadowy Scorpion seas seeking some sort of reassuring direction.
IT’S BEEN HAAAARD!
About 90 minutes after the New Moon, the nodes shift into a new axis: “I’ll Do It My Way” Aries North Node and “Let’s Partner Up” Libra South Node. With Love Goddess Venus in “Romance Is My SuperPower” Leo and also getting ready to retrograde, our collective focus switches from “What the hell is going on?” to “Who am I and Why am I here?” And, please know, I am, of course, condensing complex and multiple layers of this change down to simplistic but representational terms.
THIS CAUSES COSMIC CRANKINESS?
Sensitives pick up on the energy waves before they strike. Heat waves and solar flares haven’t helped, but the profound redirection into the Aries/Libra axis disorients your internal compass. The internal spinning feels like a gnawing-knowing, mosquitoes endlessly buzzing your ears, the “wrong” smell in the air, a sensory misfit.
ACK YOU NAILED IT
I’ll write more about the New Moon soon. Right now, take a look at the past 18 months and consider what’s worked, what hasn’t, and how you may wish to enter this new Nodal Shift theme of relationships. What is your “Me?” What is your “Us?”
