At a New Moon we dream in new beginnings, initiate new projects, charge up our sacred tools like crystals, and celebrate the fact we get a chance to start something over and renew our hope.
The cycles of Luna are reflected in our oceans, our feelings, our very bodies. In shamanism we follow the moon to track seasonal changes and invoke deeper awareness.
We have a chance to start anew with the Second Chance New Moon July 20, 2020. Every year we have two new moons that fall in the same sign (13 lunar cycles occur in a 12 month period) and in 2020, the Year of (Shattered) Foundations, those two New Moons happen to fall in the sign of “I Just F’n Love You” Cancer.
Well, I think you get to recenter on how you live your life from the heart. The June 21 New Moon got us started on this deep heart movement. Then we had yet another crazy month full of insane shifts and circumstances. And a comet. Don’t forget the comet. Now, a month later, the Dark Moon reminds us that after all that it’s time to come home to the heart.
Yes. “Stern TaskMaster” Saturn counters as he sits in exact opposition to the New Moon from his place of rulership in “Take Responsibility” Capricorn. Since the Inner You Moon is also in rulership in Cancer our hearts and minds may pull against each other.
During times like these we ache with that human desire to be with Tribe. It’s natural to want to gather and find comfort in the experience of community.
So we come together and share our stories, experience Shamanic Healing, release through Fire Ceremony, and take a Guided Journey for deep, personal relief.
