Partnership Power Plays provide a stimulating bridge across a Top Goat Capricorn Moon weekend into Monday’s Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius. Now that can mean a rough time, a fun time…or both!
PARTNERSHIP POWER PLAYS?
We’ve been in the middle of control stories and power struggles for quite some time. Empowerment King Jupiter in Relationships First Libra began a series of Squares (challenges) with Dark Lord Pluto in I Like Control Capricorn last year.
SO?
That means we’ve been testing ourselves and our relationships: family, friends, and lovers. And you can include jobs, situations such as living arrangements, and especially our relationship with ourself. Today is the final “exact” Jupiter/Pluto Square.
GULP!
Hey, lighten up! Partnership Power Plays can be fun.
How? Take the edge off the insane, pointless bickering or remove your ego-needs by going for spontaneous silliness instead. For example:
- FRIENDS : Stop your automatic response mechanism and hold your breath. Giggle. It will create mystery…
- WORK: Imagine your micro-manager boss is covered in bubble-bath foam. Smile widely!
- FAMILY: In the middle of an intense standoff, announce “Uh Oh, Happy Feet” and make like Steve Martin
- LOVERS: Confess your stupidest, most embarrassing moments. Laugh together, then experiment with ways to create new, most embarrassing – or delightful! – moments.
HOW DOES THAT HELP?
The point is to redirect the power play tension into more heart-friendly channels. Ultimately the struggle and dissonance of crossing ego-swords sucks energy and light out of life. Humor melts fierce defenses and angry attacks. Leo Sun roars for love, sharing love, being love!
BUT THE PROBLEMS ARE STILL THERE
Maybe so! There will always be challenges of some sort. But maybe they shift when we quit pouring energy into them. Surprise your ego and treat control as an illusion, not a commodity, and see how your heart can relax. That’s a Leo Sun Heart Hack!
SHAMANIC PERSPECTIVE
Watch animals play hunt and fight with each other. They often end their game with mutual grooming and contented head butting. They help each other release pent up tension with dynamic action, then harmonize with mutual, peaceful interaction. We could learn much from them!
