Mercury Retrograde in Virgo helps us clarify and ground our desires and communications. Since Mercury will backtrack into Leo during the Retrograde, we will also experience some fiery shifts and ego blasts, but first, we enjoy some unexpected magic!

Mercury Retrograde engages on Saturday, August 12. What’s great about Mercury Retrograde this time around is that it occurs in Vitality of Life Virgo.

Messenger Mercury loves to be in Virgo. This grounded feminine sign establishes orderliness, effectiveness and purpose to communications at all levels. When Mercury backtracks, traveling retrograde through Virgo, we have this awesome opportunity to clarify and fine tune what we want to say and convey to the world, and how we want to talk to ourselves.

GOOD NEWS MERCURY RETROGRADE

As Mercury Stations (stands still) on August 12 the stellar symphony plays through no less than 15 trines! One is a Grand Trine in Water, another a Grand Trine in Fire. The Trine aspect is beneficial! Stabilizing relationships! Harmonizing aspects! We’ve been so overloaded with billowing steam. To have a feminine, grounding influence feels refreshing and freeing. We no longer have to dodge fiery bullets of downloads nor navigate tidal waves of emotion.

REPEAT THAT?

Water and Fire achieve a balance that allows us to enjoy, consider, play, review, rest and purr without all the smoky overhead or grumbly undercurrent.

WOW. CAN THIS BE TRUE?

Yes! Sure, other influences will pop up. Life continues its varied flow. But this Mercury Retrograde offers a relief from the intensity that can be surprisingly grounding and restful. Puttering through your junk drawer and cleaning it out may be the cathartic exercise you needed to come back to simple presence.

Oh – now, Mercury will cross into Leo on September 1 as it continues moving backward, but let’s not worry about that just yet.
