Moon In Cancer May 20 2015 Shamanic Weather
The Warm Fuzzies Moon in Cancer urges us to slip into something comfortable and curl up with a good book, especially as we are still in the Sure and Steady Taurus Sun. But, of course, life doesn’t always have those lazy, afternoon-reading-under-a-tree moments available for us! Although we want to feel the security of well-grounded roots, our intuition tells us to expand into our trunks and reach up for the sparkly stars in the sky.
Ever the instigator, The Sky Lord of Anarchy (Uranus in Aries) makes us feel antsy, like little bugs are landing on us, itchy and annoying. We contemplate shifting into a new position, but The Stern Ruler of Expansion (Saturn in Sagittarius) pokes at our subconscious with pine-needle pricks of restrictions, the “you shouldn’ts” and the “you have to’s” – there’s just no comfortable spot to settle, no way to tap into our intuition!
So… The Dreamy King of the Seas (Neptune in Pisces) calls from the night with images and ideas for how to perceive what’s in the way of our Third Eyesight. Spend some time alone or with an intentional group of inner mind travelers this afternoon or this evening and ask to SEE. It’s time to see the green forest beyond the dead tree blocking our vision! Let the Winged Messenger (Mercury in Gemini) do it’s retrograde thing, helping us all remap the way through the the tangled woods to our next destination.
TREE MEDICINE
Catch Your Breath! It’s time to step out of the flow of life, even for a moment, and hug a tree. Borrow the roots and sink intention into Mother Earth “I am grounded. I accept and receive support.” This gives you a strong vessel in which to receive gifts! Feel the tension in your body flow out through those roots, the breath sing through your leaves. Let the memory of trees live within your bones, anchoring you to a safe space in time.
SKY MEDICINE
In the great branches extending up from the top of the tree trunk exists the realm of New Experiences and Possibilities (Anyone see the Spring Maiden in there? What happened to her Unicorn?) Reach up and touch your dreams; let the petals of possibilities feather down in a fragrant cascade of fresh inspiration. From a grounded stance we can access any level of the great Tree of Life – how high can you stretch?
EARTH MEDICINE
The network of Standing People, the Trees, form a Forest of Consciousness that spans the globe. Show Your Support to your fellow Trees by offering a safe space for them to share their messages and experiences, and in listening, you may better understand yours. We need a clear channel between us and the Sun/Spirit to thrive; we need the company of others, the rooty web of connection, to understand what is channeled and use it.
So even if your schedule is packed, find 60 seconds to breathe in and out with intention to see past the dead tree trunk that could be blocking you. Let the rich, vibrant Forest invite you in!
