Mercury Stations Retrograde May 18 2015 Shamanic Weather
After a whirlwind weekend of downloads and connections with others, our Winged Messenger Mercury stations retrograde in Gemini tonight at 7:02 pm PDT. The downloads and connections we have been receiving take on a dual importance: what to focus upon, and what is distraction? This discernment is the mind knife-sharpening we undertake for the next three weeks. The Sabian Symbol for this station is: Bridging physical space and social distinctions, two men communicate telepathically. This morning the Moon entered in Gemini. This What’s Next? Moon seems oblivious to the pending constrictions and innocently approaches, and is rebuffed by, the Stern Ruler of Expansion (Saturn in Sagittarius). Ouch! We feel blocked and perhaps rebellious. Benefiting from a bro-hug from the Distracted Scout (Mars in Gemini) our What’s Next? Moon feels brave again and proceeds to do her darndest to whip up some positive vibes with the Dragon’s Head (North Node in Libra). She reminisces over gracepoints from the past with the Dark King of Chaos (Pluto in Capricorn), but everything comes to a vibrating standstill when our Winged Messenger stops and hovers like a hummingbird before slowly beginning to retrace his steps of the past three weeks. The Dreamy King of the Seas (Neptune in Pisces) challenges the What’s Next Moon with a n ominous prophecy – You can’t escape the hungry ghosts of the past. They will haunt your dreams until you deal with them.
EARTH MEDICINE
Dig deep into the Earth, like a tree’s roots, and find support in cycling energy with your community and with the Pachamama herself. Wood reminds us of the sacred nature of the forest, the Axis Mundi (World Tree), the rich, spiritual roots of our soul embodied. The great mystics and prophets went out alone into nature to meet themselves and whatever they considered Source to be. When you feel overwhelmed and underloved, get outdoors and connect with the Standing People for your true healing medicine.
SKY MEDICINE
Father Sun sees you as you truly are; warms your wings, anoints the flowers from which you sip, illuminates the world so you can see. You are Butterfly, ever transforming into your next incarnation. Your soul always has wings no matter your physical form. Here Butterfly reminds us that the larva dismembers into its new form while in the chrysalis. The constraints of the small chamber are necessary to safely contain and protect the fragile, vulnerable pupae during this time of transition. Cocoon yourself as needed during this retrograde phase and grow your new wings!
DHARMIC MEDICINE
The Thunderbird of the Sky, Condor, gracefully swoops in to help us during the fallow swing of the continuing cycle of life and death. We eat the “dead” things, taking on the healing medicine and leaving the bones of old structures and choices. A symbol of peace, Condor signals a time of personal reflection upon our values and Love. How do you define love? How do you share it? How do you receive it? How do you give it to yourself? As the Mercury Retrograde affects all to some degree we will, as a cosmic community, help each other answer these very personal questions through the lens of Gemini, the Winged Twins, Castor and Pollux.
