How do you know that you need to Spin the Baby? Your “child,” the creative project, relationship or dream you have been gestating, feels stuck. Perhaps you are perplexed about what’s next, or feel overwhelmed, or just too tired. You hurt in weird places. This is NOT a satisfying feeling.
Even if your plans are right on schedule, the overall mood in the air is pressurized with potential for spiky misalignment and erratic change. In this instance to spin the baby means repositioning yourself, a new perspective, an update to plans or goals and how you want to participate.
Well this just doesn’t work for our Harmonious Queen Venus in Libra! She loves the sign of relationships and balance, so this spinning talk raises her elegant brow in Spockian skepticism. The Sky Lord of Rebellion Uranus tries to appease her with tasty treats, spontaneous excursions and even distractingly attractive suitors, but unfortunately the Wounded Healer Dreaming Chiron got to her first, reopening old wounds and vulnerability to self-doubt and reviving forgotten frustrations. Grrr…

The job going away turned out to be the greatest thing that could have happened. Vacation plans gone awry led you to meet the love of your life.

Enthusiastic people inspire us to reach beyond our perceived limits. We “borrow” their joy like a cup of sugar to sweeten or electrify our lives. The Uranian nature busts boundaries, zings crusty shells wide open, electrifies the air. Pour enthusiasm into yourself today; make everything you do both significant and ordinary.
Practice going to the high WOW level, then down to the UGH low energy experience with anything you do.
This is cycling through the energy rather than building it up for a big explosion or running it through too quickly and depleting ourselves. This helps us release attachment and keep the pure enthusiasm alive. Our favorite song comes up on the playlist, we enjoy it thoroughly, and then it is over. We don’t keep listening to the same song!

THE GENTLE
penetrating, a soft approach, faith, moderation, a subtle but deep influence, understanding, nonviolence
Hold the vision softly; do not push. Watch carefully the ebb and flow of enthusiasm. Reap the rewards of a past well examined and a moment well lived. Be gentle. We don’t spin the baby forcibly.
We soothe the child into a new position with subtle shifts of the body, sequences of specific movements, a tai chi of life. If a radical change is needed you’ll know, gut instinct, but meanwhile let the vision combined with good information guide you naturally.
THIS WEEK
Personally we’ve been feeling the overall pressure of “hurry up and change”. As the human community we’ve experienced shocking events worldwide that have renewed intensity regarding old issues of intolerance and safety. Although there are, of course, those folks who are outside of this bubble and anchor stability and overall happiness, most of us have been challenged to cope with major change or illness in the past month.
This all peaks this week with the coming Full Moon in Gemini and Saturn/Neptune Square, and more! Our best plan is to keep simplifying. Ask your helping spirits to assist you so you can spin the baby and have as smooth a delivery as possible!
