The “Doomsday Asteroid” missed us by 15,000,000 miles over the weekend. No more excuses! It’s time to rediscover you, loving yourself, and loving your life. Wildcards flash past us, stirring up the pot, but you remain. You are at the center of your life no matter what is happening.
The Wild Rogues are tussling with the Sun, our “Self”, pushing some of us out of stagnation and others into full on creation frenzy. The messages and downloads are pouring in! The Sky Lord of Rebellion, Uranus champions freedom, let your wildest visions crystallize into the 3D world! Yet the Dark King of Chaos, Pluto, insists upon turning your circumstances upside down, making decisions more difficult. The landscape keeps changing. Where will your New You land?
The Clean Queen is not dealing too well with all this change. Venus in Virgo gets tempted but may go too far under the Quantum Change Uranian influence. If you go way past your comfort zone in relationships you may feel the flush of “why did I do that?” embarrassment, but that’s part of this rather rapid self-discovery process. Libra New Moon Feather Ceremony
Find a feather or use one that has special meaning to you.
Set up your altar or select an area in nature where you feel spiritually open.
Smudge using sage, palo santo, or your feather.
Ask for your ancestors, helping spirits and power animals to surround you in love.
Light a candle for the New Moon.
Holding your feather, think about everything you want to release. What are you ready to shift and change? Especially consider connections, relationships, to people, places, times, ideas and even your own self-identity. Intend for this message to flow into the feather.
Breathe in deeply. Hold. With the exhale, sweep the feather down and across in a huge “X”, crossing out the old. Do this three times. In a way, you are cutting energetic ties.
Holding your feather, dream in your new vibration. What does it look like? Ask for that, or better! Send this intention into the feather.
Breathe in deeply. Hold. With the exhale, project the vision of your personal requests to Spirit in front of you, then draw a giant circle in the air around it, going clockwise. Repeat three times.
Make an offering. Burn sweetgrass or incense, or sprinkle Native Spirit tobacco, or spread birdseed…you get the idea. Give something back!
Take your feather and place it somewhere significant for the next Moon cycle: on your altar, tied to a tree outdoors, in a vase near the front door. As the messages are received and answered you’ll see it change and move right along with the energy.
Close your sacred space and blow out your candle.
You are SOOO amazing. You chose to be born and metamorphisize through these changing times. Thank you for being here. We each make a difference. Make yourself the priority and you will empower yourself to be there for others!

PERSONAL NOTE FROM MARA
FEATHERS
Mid September I asked my guides for signs of their presence, their support, and that all was flowing well. Our landlord was selling the home Jessica and I named Hale Ohana to satisfy family members wanting to cash out an inheritance. We had to move fast.
It was most definitely NOT the best time to do this. I had a full calendar, with weekend events scheduled as well, and no time to hunt for a house, pack up, schedule moving, move, unpack and nest into my new home. One could almost hear Pluto chuckling: Too bad! Get on with it.
So I was both calm and freaked out at the same time. As they’d done for me in the past, my helping spirits sent me messages of comfort and magic. Feathers.
Feathers flew out of my various collection vases in my home for me to find at my feet throughout the house. I’d be grumbling down the stairs after taking the trash out and find a fresh one on the previously empty path I had just taken. They would appear in my hair, on my driveway, on my car, along the sidewalk, and tiny baby fluff feathers seemed more numerous.
When I worried, I’d hear “go outside for a moment” and there would be another feather!
Feathers carry messages. We use feathers to make known our hopes and requests to Spirit. Replies and more often return with more feathers.
And I learned more about my own true feathers that help me soar – my soul family. Our Tribe came through in so many ways, helping me pack, move, and settle in. Two of my Goddess Sisters continue to shower me with Fairy Godmother Goodness as they help me place furniture, art and such in my new home AND remodel my yet unnamed crystal cave healing room. I can’t begin to thank them enough.
Students have opened their homes so I may continue to teach classes. Clients have kindly worked with with boxes and mess and message snafu and delays (never move during a Mercury retrograde if you can possibly avoid it. I could not).
There will be endless hugs and gratitude.
This has been a deep heart healing for me, a test of my trust in all things spiritual, and it is still in progress. Thank you for your patience as my response time to calls and such has suffered seriously in the middle of my transformation chaos.
In the end, the timing is Perfect!
