Anticipating Summer Solstice Celebration, the Romantic Queen (Venus in Leo) purrs as she gets her claws, ahem, nails, polished, and sips her calming chamomile tea. Her Leo Lover Party Hearty Moon date bodes well for a fiery, sun-celebrating weekend. We can expect unusual intensity in our experience of Divine Feminine energies this weekend. Astroshaman Benjamin reports: An easy expansion of feminine assertiveness is indicated by a Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus Grand Trine. The presence of Uranus asks you to embody your authentic, one-of-a-kind human identity as you step into your feminine power. This Grand Trine began on 5/30, peaks today and ends on 7/5. This is so appropriate to meet the Sun at the height of star-power on 6/21, the Solstice! The Wild Rogues play nice, for the most part, with the Magnanimous King (Jupiter in Leo) giving us major support in the self esteem department (you might want to watch that you don’t overextend yourself there). The Sky Lord of Rebellion (Uranus in Aries) helps to counteract the LSD effects of the Dreamy King of the Seas (Neptune Retrograding in Pisces) with some innovative clarity and wisdom about who to listen to, where to direct our energies, what level of activity should we commit to for the weekend. With the help of our Winged Messenger (Mercury in Gemini) – we “get” what’s going on and choose well! On Sunday the Sun moves into homebody Cancer and reaches zenith for the Northern Hemisphere – the Summer Solstice. The longest day provides the shortest shadow! Take some of the vitality and positivity of the strongest Sun day and encapsulate it deep within your personal reservoirs to draw upon when you could use an uplift. With the Sun in Cancer and the Moon moving into Virgo, we’ll be most practical about post-party resting, clean-up, and reminiscing. This does promise to be a most wonderful weekend!

The Solstice is about both Life and Death, endings and beginnings, cycles of life. In her death Ukemochi generated the seeds of life, feeding humanity and thus pleasing the Goddess. Yes, we die a little everyday. What we shed breaks down into new energy for new creation. As the thirteenth card, the Death card in the traditional tarot, Ukemochi heralds transformation. Surrender and enjoy the ride!
