Phoenix Rising – Endings and Beginnings
New Moon in Gemini June 16 2015 Shamanic Weather
Today’s New Moon in Gemini heralds the Phoenix Rising, the new you birthing from the ashes of old identity and relinquished expectations. The Distracted Scout (Mars in Gemini) is suddenly quite focused on the Inner YOU in a purpose-infusing joining with the Ooh, Shiney! Gemini Moon an hour prior. The Wild Rogues Jupiter and Uranus have got his back, giving him even MORE juice! The intensity of Endings and Beginnings snaps with a whip-crack that may set your teeth on edge. Venus in Leo, the Romantic Queen, is feeling it and simply craves chocolate, while Dreamy Wounded Healer Chiron in Pisces tries to spoil the general mood of empowerment by dragging some old wounds out of the closet – ouch! Get rid of those! They don’t fit anymore, and attachments to the past keep us from opening up to the now and what glorious things want to come in.
UPPER WORLD

Know thyself.” – from the Chakra Insight Oracle by Caryn Sangster Saturn retrograde in Scorpio, the sign of both the Scorpion AND the Phoenix, takes his role seriously as the Deep Waters Detective. We may cringe at deep personal inventory, yet the clearing that results from our efforts truly lightens our load. We gain clarity and insight into our higher purpose, our Shamanic Upper World connection. Knowing and accepting ourselves trips the magic switch to the next level of consciousness. We awaken to our own greatness, how we can live in the flow and still keep our unique soul happy and fulfilled.
MIDDLE WORLD
Responsibility Owning our “stuff” and taking responsibility is the antidote to victimhood. All the juicy, human-messy stuff happens in the Shamanic Middle World. Loving, losing, birthing, dying – uncontrolled circumstances make things complicated but also allow us to evolve rather than stagnate, experience rather than numb out. Self-discipline leads to empowerment; reliability to fulfillment. And, yes, this includes playing, planning social fun and personal downtime, Venus in Leo romanticizing, Gemini Moon and Sun conjoining to start our next new world. Joyful stuff!
LOWER WORLD
Solar Plexus Chakra One of the mind-blowing experiences I have had in doing these three-card readings for the Shamanic Weather with this particular deck is having one of the Chakra cards come up every time so far. There are only seven of them in a 49 card deck. So I give extra weight to this card today! Get really clear on the condition of your personal identity, what you want, how you want to participate in this world. Today is a powerful day to bring your ego and self-esteem into alignment with the purest expression of your soul! The Shamanic Lower World holds reservoirs of collective information from all the time of our Earthly existence and before (say wha?). We draw upon these recognizable archetypes for guidance, teaching and empowerment of our own identity, discovering who we are…from innocent inner child to magnificent, star-filled soul. Like the Phoenix we rise from the ashes of our past today, a new alloy of our previous incarnations, filled with new purpose and strength.
GOING FORWARD
We continue to have some yummy energy popping up this week, our personal ice cream treat to enjoy after eating the liver and onions requirements of Saturn retrograding into Scorpio.
