Hungry Ghosts And Compelling Dreams

After a night of both hungry ghosts of the past and compelling dreams we may wake up a bit edgy. The Ooh, What’s That? Gemini Moon pings off of a number of the outer planets today as well as the Nodes and the Sun, and in the process has us spinning rather than focused.
Are you feeling frustrated, vulnerable or ungrounded? The combination of Scorpio Sun and Gemini Moon can do that to you! And, remember, the veils between our world and other worlds are thinning as Samhein (Halloween) approaches. They continue to thin until we reach the Winter Solstice. It’s time to bolster your boundaries and observe practical shamanic hygiene to keep you and your home clear. Here’s a sample of the many techniques you may use:
ROCKS
Use crystals for protection and clearing around the home, office, or on your person!
Here are a few that are easy to acquire and love to work on your behalf:
- Smoky Quartz
- Tourmaline
- Obsidian
- Amethyst
- Moldavite
SMUDGE
Use white sage or palo santo and smudge everyday!
Take a deep breath all the way down to your root chakra (base of your spine). See roots growing into the Earth, connecting you to vital Earth energies.
Light the end of the bundle of sage or stick of palo santo over a candle. Once you have a burn started, blow it out. It will continue to smolder. OR you may choose to use an abalone shell or other natural bowl to hold the bundle/stick.
Beginning at the crown of your head, wave the smudge/stick (or use a feather over the abalone shell) so the smoke falls over you. Intend for cleansing and purification. Ask to release anything that isn’t serving you, old energies, shed skins. Pay attention to the chakras.
Continue waving smudge smoke down your body, arms and legs.
Bring the smoke back up to your crown and brush smoke toward the back of your body. Intend the smoke to cleanse you all the way down to the ground.

EXPANSION
When confronted with our fears it is so natural to want to contract, to shrink back. Instead, try filling yourself up to the point where you actually EXPAND and take up more space.
What do you fill up with? Love, of course. Extra love will layer on as confidence, resources, and and compassion. Your fears shrink in the face of your growing heart. Love takes us through and past fear.
