Dueling Dualities, Relationships Squared
April 3, 4 & 5 2015 Shamanic Weekend Weather
The Skylord of Anarchy (Uranus in Aries) and The Dark King of Chaos (Pluto in Capricorn) renew their squared-off aggression as the New Beginnings Sun (Sun in Aries) approaches opposition with the Relationship Moon (Grandmother Moon in Libra) for our April Full Moon. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Weekend illuminates a yin-yang tug-of-war between our personal need to please and be pleased with our transpersonal desires for harmony worldwide.
Everything relationship-oriented is ready to be turned upside-down (Pachakuti times!) including our relationship to ourselves. The ensuing emotional dramas, power struggles, break-ups and reunions activate old stories to be rewritten or tossed out! Avoid polarizing situations and resolve dueling dualities by allowing plenty of space around feelings (breathe before you act or react!).
SPIRIT MEDICINE
Earth Mother Gaia beckons, “Come back to me!” In the loving act of tending to the Earth, centering ourselves, we bring all these elevated emotions and worries back to level ground, to our Earth Source, to the All Mother. She is the Divine Feminine in action through attraction: harmonious relationships grow and we weed out engagement in harmful ones. Her Yin balm soothes the aggressive, out of balance Yang energy zipping around us this weekend. Seek the solace of nature as the Eclipse unleashes dramas around you.
ANIMAL MEDICINE
Horse is Power – the ability to move, explore, and change. The Eclipse energies are all about change and traveling in a new direction with ourselves and others. Gaia brings us home, and it is our nature to again roam. We are all completing a journey and beginning a new one!
In the tradition of the Medicine Wheel, or Wheel of Life, a Horse stands at each of the cardinal directions – North, East, South, West. Five planets and the Dragon’s Tail are currently in Cardinal signs, pulling on us to choose. Which Horse will empower you?

EARTH MEDICINE
Azurite encourages self-confidence and awareness. To vibrate in the healthiest relationships, we first make right with ourselves. Gaia has called us to Earth and the homeground we all share for resolution and healing; Azurite represents the sky and stars that we all look up to from our world and reach for in our dreams. Once we have found comfort our home, it truly is time to stretch and explore the next experience, dream, relationship, opportunity.
When we feel drawn to any drama around us this weekend, it serves us to step back, breathe, and notice what is compelling us to jump in or to vicariously watch and feel through it. We are empowered by observing to then choose wisely. The Air of Libra feeds the Fire of Aries which, in turn, creates new wind to fan the flames of this powerful Full Moon, and Gaia getting in the middle of it all is literally the Eclipse! They teach: when two strong forces oppose, Earth yourself and get grounded. Find the center. Interrupt the opposition, change the vibration, cross the shadows into the light.
It’s a big weekend. We have some challenges ahead. We have solutions, too. And on the other side, our new best selves to love up, new Horses to ride, new dreams to pursue.
