Awakening Your Drum – Solstice Celebration!
At the Awakening Your Drum Solstice Celebration we open your shamanic eye and help you come into relationship with your drum, rattle or other Shamanic instrument!
And what better time to do that than the Summer Solstice?
Bring your drum – or borrow one!
What Do We Do?
We gather around the Fire Ring to take a Shamanic Journey to discover and connect with the spirit of our tool.
Yes, this is an outdoor event!
Then we initiate the drums in a special ritual together, introducing our drums to each other and learning their unique song.

Who Can Come?
Whether you made a drum with us in May OR have your own drum or rattle from before, you are welcome to join us.
If you don’t have a drum or rattle, you can borrow one as we have many to share.
Kids: If your child can handle ceremony as well as good fun, of course they can come!
No Experience Necessary!
Fire – S’mores – Stars – Fun People!
You can roast marshmallows and build campfire treats as we complete our time together. If you have special dietary needs, please bring your preferred supplies!
What to bring:
- Your drum or rattle (if you have one)
- Chair
- Lap blanket/Jacket (yeah, it can get chilly)
- Water

Time: Arrive from 6:30 on. We plan to start by 7!
Cost: $33 (you can pay online when you register, or select “Payment Deferred” and bring cash or check (to Mara Cook) to the event.

If you have had a sense of disconnect, that lonely-in-the-crowd feeling, then here is your opportunity to invite healing and create space for connection.
And – you can have fun with everyone in the process! We circle up around the fire ring, warm up by playing our drums and rattles, and spend some time synching up each other’s energy.

Then we have a ceremony, take a journey, basically explore different experiences of shamanism under the stars.
