Water Ceremony and Fireworks

Continue with Water Ceremony to work with the predominance of Water element. If you missed the Shamanic Weather yesterday here’s a recap:

The passionate and emotional water influence can have you riding the roller coaster of your feelings from gleeful to glum. All day long Scorpio Moon asks us to dig deeper into our psyches. Coming into right relationship (ayni) with the spirit of Water can help us gain rather than lose energy today.

WATER CEREMONY

• Select a small bowl and fill it with water. Add a few grains of salt for grounding if you like.
• Place the bowl on your altar. Mine is on my smudging altar by my front door.
• Ask to come into ayni with Water. May the extremes come into balance, what we call “leveling the waters.”
• Dip your finger into the water.
• Flick it.
• Watch the ripples.
• Add more water, or pour some out.
• Just watch the water settle.
• Each action is a mirror of your own water – your body’s water, your feelings, the energetic wakes you leave in the world as you pass through…
• As you pass the bowl during the day look at it. The water becomes a trigger for you to check in with your feelings and how you are letting them flow.
• Practice bringing the image of the water to your mind when you are away from home. This is your “portal” to a new awareness of your heart and the fluids of your life that flow through it.
• Sometime during the day, drop a small stone into the water.
• As you do, say or think, “I am grounded. My waters are leveled,” or something similar.
• You may choose to do this more than once!
• At the end of the day, pour the water on the soil outdoors (or, if you have no option for that, on a willing houseplant) and place the stone outdoors on the ground.
• As you do this, say “I release it all. With gratitude, I let go,” or something similar.

FIREWORKS

Tonight Venus moves from Earthy Taurus to Quicksilver Gemini. She wakes up from a delicious, sensuous dream and has all sorts of questions and ideas! No stopping her now…let the fireworks begin!

By tonight the Fire Element dominates, boiling all that water into steam! A perfect night to light up the sky and let it go!
