Make Some Lemonade

Grandmother Moon enters Virgo today and tries to help us get organized and focused on positive, organized action. But…we don’t wanna. Several Squares challenge our direction, motivation and commitment, and there’s too much to clean up after a weekend of partying, and it’s haaaard…Clean It Up Virgo Moon raises an eyebrow, hands on her hips, and challenges back: “Are you going to keep whining about all the lemons, or shall we make some lemonade?”
So you start cutting open the lemons and juicing them, perhaps muttering under your breath “I always have to do EVERYTHING.” That’s the Clean It Up Virgo Moon squaring the Stern Ruler of Expansion (Saturn in Sagittarius) emphasizing the solitary aspects of working we come to resent at times. Keep going. The Dragon’s Tail (South Node in Aries) reminds you of your last sweet-tart sip of lemonade, shifting you mood from snarly to nostalgic. Then, distracted now, you snick your finger with the knife!
Sun Square Moon has thrown up a roadblock, so you get to slow down and rethink what you are doing and what you want while Virgo Moon applies a bandage and begins offering advice on everything from how to cut lemons to who you should be dating and how to handle a relationship issue at work. That’s the Sky Lord of Anarchy (Uranus in Aries) influencing our Virgo Moon in yet another square. Totally over the lemonade, we are drawn into daydreams involving people, situations, dreams and memories. The Distracted Scout (Mars in Gemini) battles the pull of the Dreamy King of the Seas (Neptune in Pisces) in an intense, inner square-off that may have us struggling with our usual avoidance behaviors and addictions, OR coming up with some of the most original, inspiring ideas and creations to date.
Grandmother Moon gently brings our attention back to our original task: make some lemonade. Neptune may still yank our chains a bit, but in the end we prevail. Breakthrough the creative blocks or personal limits, and prepare to sip some of the tastiest lemonade yet.

From the random fruits of life experience it occurs to us to make some lemonade; this is pure inspiration, the conception point where multiple forces conspire to ignite fresh ideas. A new “Star” is born in our minds.
The creative process can look like this:
- Sit quietly and breathe into your Root Chakra – Connect to Earth
- Now breath into your Crown Chakra – Connect to Sky
- Invite Mother Earth and Father Sky energies to fill you up
- Consider your current question or desire for inspiration
- Remember the elements and actions that brought you to this moment
- Imagine mixing them up into new combinations
- Dream on what you would like to see happen
- Ask for inspiration
- Let it go…
If you don’t receive an answer right away, know that the work is in process. Stars are born on their own schedule. Distract yourself with other things, play, nap, and know the ideas will become shooting stars in your life soon!
