Celebrate Mabon – the Autumn Equinox

The Equinox comes at a time of balance, equal day and night. Gather with us around the Fire Ring for our Shamanic Fall Equinox Drum Circle and Mabon Ceremony

Mabon celebrates the Second Harvest! To celebrate our blessings, we’ll create our own Altar full of what Fall means to us.

Bring a symbol of fall – pinecones, pumpkins, gourds, apples, fallen leaves – and together we’ll build an altar of abundance and gratitude. We’ll charge it up, and then redistribute the items to carry the love forward to our homes.

CEREMONY

Together we create our Mabon Altar. I’ll have supplies here, but feel free to bring something that represents Fall to you to add to our altar. 

Think of pinecones, pumpkins, gourds, apples, fallen leaves. Dried grains (like popcorn!) and other fall-ish things – and together we’ll build an altar of gratitude. We’ll charge it up, and then redistribute the items to carry the love forward to our homes.

DRUMMING

Whether or not you play or have a drum, you can still join in the fun.  We’ll have a Drum Jam (bring yours, or borrow one of ours). No Experience Needed! We play from the heart and sink into the natural rhythm of our joy. Folks bring their drums to share, and I have a few here to share, plus lots of rattles and other percussion instruments.

S’MORES

Of course we’ll have S’mores! If you have special dietary requirements, please bring the appropriate supplies for yourself!

What you need to bring:

• A chair or cushion (got a dozen here…)
• Jacket (outdoor event!)
• Drum, rattle or other percussive instrument (yes, we have several to borrow)
• Water (and there’ll be some here)
• OPTIONAL – Add your gourd, grapes, leaves or more to our Altar

The Shamanic Oasis, a private La Mesa location off the 8. I need to limit the number of attendees so please contact me to confirm your reservation. RSVP

Who can come:

Anyone mature enough to be present and respectful through ceremony and guided journey. I trust you to know if your children would likely get bored and would not be happy.

Who is Mara Clear Spring?

Mara is a Shamanic Practitioner, Teacher, Reiki Master and Munay-Ki Mentor. 

She sees private clients for soul retrieval, shamanic healing, one-on-one Shamanic Training, Reiki, space clearing and blessing, guided journey and more – both in person and distance. 

She leads Shamanic Circles: Goddess, Drumming and Shamanic Sound Journey. Mara also teaches people how to follow the path of the shaman in First Step Shamanic Training and intermediate and advanced Shamanic courses. She teaches and installs the Nine Rites of the Munay-Ki as taught by Dr. Villoldo and the Four Winds Society.

What We Do

If you have never been to one of our Shamanic Oasis events, be ready for the open-armed welcome you’ll receive!

If you arrive early enough, you’ll be personally smudged by me or one of my grads.

We usually warm up in a spontaneous drum jam while folks arrive and settle in. Again, this is about fun, not aptitude. Catch the fever and play!!

I open Sacred Space, Talking Stick and lead you through some Drumming Games.

We take a Guided Journey, and we burn up old burdens in Fire Ceremony.

Then we usually finish up in a final round of joyous drumming! Social time and S’mores follow.
