The Wheel Turns
At Litha, the Sun reaches its fullest brilliance before beginning a slow descent toward harvest and the autumn festivals to come.
Ancient peoples marked this season with bonfires, feasts, dancing, blessings, and rituals to honor the living relationship between light and shadow.
The myth continues to evolve. Our shared community experience keeps us connected. And in joyful ritual play, we’ll both give and receive bright Litha Blessings.
We’ll explore the Magic of Litha and receive that golden spark of joy within. Inspired, we set our dreams into motion together!
TIMING
We set our Ritual at an earlier time so you can continue your Saturday Night Celebration.
HEALTH
If you are feeling under the weather, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home and rest up.
PARKING
We highly recommend coming down a bit early to comfortably find parking.
Ocean Beach is a busy little beach community, but there is ample parking. There is a paid lot by the CVS across Cable St. and lots of free street parking available.

More About Litha:
From https://www.sui.org/litha/
“The summer solstice has been celebrated since ancient times by various cultures worldwide, tracked back as far as 10,200 B.C.. For the Celts, it was a time to honor the sun god, Bel. Celebrations were marked by bonfires to boost the sun’s strength for the growing season. The bonfires also symbolized protection, fertility, and prosperity. Similarly, the ancient Romans honored Vesta, goddess of the hearth, with a festival that culminated around the summer solstice.”
