Empath Alert: Emotional Overwhelm

The recent natural disasters slamming us one on top of the other leave us in a perpetual and growing state of emotional overwhelm. Empaths and highly sensitive people are particularly affected, but anyone who has survived a natural disaster, or is related to or deeply connected to another who has, feels it deeply, too.
My own resilience has been sorely tested. Today I found myself completely run over by the transpersonal wretchedness seeping into my intensely paced life. I hit emotional overwhelm.
SHAMANIC JOURNEY
I took a healing journey that specifically addressed the shared shock and pain over the fires raging here in California. We’ve had fires in the Western United States for weeks, but this latest wave hit so fast, and with such fury! Perhaps you, too, have felt overwhelmed by the human lives lost and impacted, and wildlife and land so rapidly destroyed.
In the journey I took I learned how the trees cope with this monumental devastation, how continuity is carried to the next generation, and what gifts we can find in the wounds.
